Benefit Event Details Letter

On behalf of the Sauganash School PTA, and the many volunteers who are hard at work preparing for this weekend’s benefit, we look forward to celebrating with you on Saturday. Get ready for a fun evening of community building, dining, great music and dancing, exciting raffles, and silent and live auctions.

Please review the following information before you go!

5300 W. Touhy Avenue, Skokie
Cocktails begin at 6pm


PARKING:¬†Ample parking for the event is located behind and to the east of the hotel. The lot can be accessed through the hotel’s main entrance on Touhy Avenue. Please enter the hotel through the banquet doors on the southeast side of the building.

CHECK-IN: Upon your arrival volunteers will help ensure your credit card number is entered into our on-line bidding system and that you are ready to use your phone for bidding purposes throughout the evening. Make sure your phone is fully charged and ready to go!

You will also have an opportunity to purchase a Best of Live Auction Glow Ring for $100. Only fifty rings will be sold and sales close at the end of the cocktail hour. The winner (announced once dessert is served) gets to pick the item of his/her choice from the live auction items just before the live auction begins. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity!


Don’t wait until Saturday evening to start bidding on silent auction items. The silent auction is available now, and we are currently accepting bids online. Anyone can bid, so please share this email with your friends and family, and especially other Sauganash families who won’t be in attendance. With over 70 items ranging from sports tickets to vacation packages to classroom art projects to museum tickets, you will find something for everyone in your family. To expedite registration and begin bidding, please make sure there is an email address, cell phone number, and credit card number associated with each guest in your account at Once the silent auction is open for bidding, registered guests will receive a text notification. There are 4 ways to bid:

  1. By Smartphone – Click on the link in your welcome message. It will take you to a personal bidding page. Click on an item and place a bid. It’s that simple.
  2. By Text – Text the 3-digit item number and amount to the welcome message you receive (i.e. 101 500), no dollar signs or decimals are needed.
  3. By Computer – Click on an item and place a bid.
  4. By “Personal Shopper” – Find a Gesture staff member (wearing grey) at the event. They will be happy to place your bids for you.


~ Silent and Live Auction Items – credit card via Gesture
~ Split the Pot Raffle – $10 tickets purchased with cash
~ Basket Raffles – $2 tickets purchased with cash or credit card via Gesture. If you purchase a basket raffle ticket(s) online, you must still visit the basket table, fill out a ticket, and drop it into the box of your choice.
~ Open & Cash Bars – There will be two hours of open bar included with your ticket purchase. Afterward, the bar converts to cash only.

Once again, thank you for attending the Sauganash School PTA Spring Benefit. All of the proceeds from this evening build on the year’s fundraising momentum to support our children, boost teacher impact, and expand learning. We are excited about this year’s special emphasis on funding the need to enhance our music education, and thank you for supporting all the PTA does to make our school the very best it can be.
